Read "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair. Nothing has changed...other than new chemical concoctions being added to the same old scrap additives in products like sausage, ground beef and hot dogs.

The Living Tower is urban bliss and an answer to innumerable social and economic problems in the inner city. Fresh food, jobs, living quarters and corporate offices within the structure, less trucking of goods long distances... This is no pipe dream. It is being built in France.

It is encouraging to see something other than Egyptian artifacts make the news. We have so little of the Sumerians to discuss or view. Iraq was a great opportunity for both the Iraqis and archeologists worldwide to play catch-up regarding Sumerian culture. Sadly, that time may not come again.

It was a grave situation when Homestead, Florida was devastated by Hurricane Andrew. Everyone in the state with an ounce of compassion took inventory of their possessions, seeing if they could contribute something, anything to help in the massive effort to get help to the residents.

I'm also a fan of Dr. Hawass. Finally, the Egyptians have a tiger standing at the door to their antiquities. The looting of Egyptian artifacts has a 4,500 year history, most recently continued by some of the major museums. Good for Hawass!

The information buried in the sands of Iraq are of universal and worldwide concern. The area was host to mankind's first known civilizations. It isn't an Iraqi concern alone.
